Keg at William IV. Cloudy dark amber colour, small golden head. Taste is sweet, malty, bit stinky, light tropical fruit, sugar, slightly milky, boozy. Weird. Aroma is weird, lightly fruit, big ipa sticky caramel sweetness, something a bit funky too. Unique but not rushing for another.

Rainbow IPA mini event at the King William IV. Keg. As Brodies Green. Almost clear green beer! Residual white head. Surprisingly light palate, turning slightly crisp. Semi dry. Sweet piney hops with sweet caramel hops underneath. Light dry finish. Sweet and piney. Not very green tasting!

Tap at King William IV on the Rainbow IPA day, labelled as ’Brodies Green’ @ 12.1%, 21/09/13. Murky green with a thin off white head - proper witches potion nonsense! Nose is burnt grass, light smoke, tropicals, hop notes. Taste comprises caramel malt, hops, bitter orange, boozey tones, straw, sugars. Full body, medium carbonation, dry finish with a trace of booze. Ok DIPA - the alcohol is well integrated but lacks depth overall.

Keg at IMBC 2013. It pours clear deep amber with a thick, foamy off-white head. The nose is sweet pine, resin, toffee, stewed orange, varnish, tinned fruit fruit and marmalade. The taste is bitter-sweet, pine, resinous, toast, tinned pineapple, alcohol warmth, grapefruit, marmalade, caramel and a touch if spice with a bitter, resinous. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Actually hides abv fairly well. Assaults the palate. Big and intense, yet remains pretty drinkable.
