On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - hazy golden with a slim head. Nose - lemon going into pink grapefruit. Taste - more pink grapefruit and possibly blood orange. Palate - carbonation could be higher. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - enjoyable pale ale.

Cask at The Haymarket. Pours (just) clear pale gold, thin white head. Nice yeasty saison aromas, light white pepper, some grapefruit beneath. Taste has more bready yeast, light bitterness and grapefruit again. Dry finish. Very nice.

330ml bottle from somewhere in Cardiff. Not your typical saison, quite a light appearance, like cloudy lemonade.. presents the crisp dryness of a pilsner with a fresh saison-esque floral character and a sharp spiciness. The three ’C’ hops are all present and accounted for, adding to a good floral citrus flavour. Quite lively and gassy, but that’s really my only criticism.
