In the late 2000’s we created a beer to celebrate all the best of summer - baseball, beach days, and barbecues. Today, that beer has grown into the most iconic seasonal beer ever and the official craft beer of summer - Summer Love. Summer Love is a refreshing Golden Ale that delivers big flavor through its fine balance of clean pilsner malts and citrusy, earthy Simcoe and Tettnang hops.

Can courtesy of Jow. Thanks. Pours a clear yellow-gold color with a medium sized white head that has good retention. The aroma is soft with some grains, herbs and a bit of something peppery. Taste is malts, peppery herbs and some light citrus. Palate is clean and crisp. Finishes short and dry. overall: Not bad for a golden ale.

Bottle. Dark Golden color with a medium head. Aroma was weak, hay. Taste was just a tad hoppy but just bland and not very appealing.

(RB score 3.45) Can poured gold topped with a thick head that remained to the last sip. Crisp mouthfeel feel, citrus flavors, moderate bitterness. Very nice ale.

Bottled. Golden colour with a creamy white head. Aroma is citrus, some floral tones with mild herbs, earth and grapefruits. Flavour is citrus, some fruits, mild bitterness along with some bready malts. Refreshing even though quite lightweight. Not in a watery way though.

Bottles and draught upon release back circa 2010. Minimally hazy, rose-tinted blonde-straw with a small, white head of moderate retention. Lightly malty, lightly hoppy (herbs, light citrus) with cookie, hints of caramel and clean yeast on the finish. Mildly hoppy, with mostly a citrus presence though with a hint of piney bitterness on the end. Soft, honey-like malts with good attenuation and cleanliness. Rather unremarkable but a fine quencher.
