Cask at the brewpub. Pours brown with a creamy beige head. Nice aroma, good roast, milk chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with light ashy bitterness, burnt toffee, earth, more milk chocolate. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly bitter to finish, some baking cocoa, more ash, scorched earth, light rubber. Not bad.
