This dry stout is a sibling of our imperial stout Secret Clubhouse. After cracking the can the aroma features dark chocolate or almost raw cocoa, smothered in light roast coffee and brown sugar. The first sip is similar to the aroma, rich dark chocolate, cold brew coffee, and roasty malt with mild bitterness. This medium bodied beer is easy drinking and a delightful lower abv addition to our otherwise hefty stout program. Featuring zero adjuncts really highlights the care and craft that went into this little Secret.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Dark brown, small head. Aroma of malt syrup and milk chocolate. Disturbingly sweet with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Vegemite and malt syrup, some yeasty tartness. Low bitterness. Cloying, yet sharp and mostly unpleasant. Miserable in every way.

(Keg at Oluthuone Haka, 20260409) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, ash, dark chocolate and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa powder, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, coffee and bitterness. A good and balanced burnt brew with dry finish.

Pint, cola brown, beige head faded fast. Toast and wheat on the nose, earthy, coffee grounds. Flavor has cola and bread crust and wheat. Chewy. Medium full bodied. Nicely made.

Mmm, I love my iced mocha first thing in the morning, especially at the South Boston parade. A secret only we know, indeed 👀

Can from Andover Classic Wines. Virtually opaque cola brown, light sparkle, quickly receding foamy head, light lacing. Aroma is earthy roasted malt and coffee over cocoa/baker's chocolate. Taste is strong roasted coffee and malts, late baker's chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish as taste. Appreciate the non-adjuncted nature of this and decent strength, but don't love almost exclusive bitterness.

Can in a trade tfontana. Roast shows a nice bolder character. Some chocolate and mild char. Shows a underlying dark fruit character in the middle of the sip. Caramel. Good amount of flavor for the 5.5%. Drinks smooth.
