Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
Cask at the New Leathern Bottle, Warfield. Pale amber with a loose cream head; malty aroma; simple malty taste, with a pleasant woody bitterness; and a dry malty finish. Not sure if this is true to the period or not, but it’s a pleasant, comforting beer.
