Cask at the Reading beer festival. Grassy hops amble through in a light and rather cardboardy bitterness. Wouldn’t have classed this as an IPA; more as a half-hearted golden ale. Frankly not a big fan of it, possibly the worst beer of the fest.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St lawrence. A brilliant amber pour with a scummy head; aroma of fresh green hops; earthy, woody, hops taste; and a dry resinous finish. Satisfying.
