Half, cask, shared with Finn at Bree Louise, Euston. Clear dark amber body. Bubbly surface. Aroma of earthy malts and oily hops. Nutty malts in flavour, mid-sweet, supported by herbal hops. Mild malty bitter ending. Oily palate. Accepted (London, 05.11.2012).

Cask, gravity at the brewery, Saturday 20th October 2012 Pours light chestnut with just a smattering of bubbles across the surface. Good aroma, plenty of hops showing. In the mouth this has a distinctive autumnal feel, nutty, mellow and with a slightly rustic quality, however the hops used ensure that this is far from run of the mill. I think I can detect the maple syrup but it has been added in a sensible quantity and adds a subtle sweetness. Another very nice beer from a great brewery A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

Cask at the Twickenham Beer Festival 2012. Thanks for the full description - I was wondering why this was called Canberra rather than Ottawa! Anyway, it’s a rather pleasant autumnal ale - copper coloured with a thin cream head; a sweetish aroma, with perhaps a trace of maple syrup; it’s sweet and malty in the mouth, and then develops an earthy bitterness to finish. This would make a good session beer.
