330ml bottle

Pours pitch black with a brown head. Quite strange aroma of urinal cake, funky sourness, yeast, roastiness and spices. Taste is smooth, hoppy and slightly roasty with some faint funky bretta notes and spices. Finish is smooth, hoppy and roasty with some faint funky notes. Quite untypical mix of a black IPA, stout and a sour ale, but works suprisingly well (minus the aroma).

33 cl bottle @ Tampella
Aroma has strong urinal notes, some oak and sour cherries. Flavour is somewhat tart with urinal cake, some sour cherries and citrus. Decent, feels like the brettanomyces hasn’t been in full action yet.

Bottle from Erzbierschof, Bern, batch L342 bb Apr 2014
The color is nearly black, with medium sized head. The aroma is a mix of roasted malt, chocolate and hops with sweaty character, penetrating. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, with excellent flavor of dark caramel, some chocolate, some roasted malts; the Brett character is present but mild; strong bitterness, resiny hops. Long final, although it’s a bit too roasty for me.
Kind of a sourish Black IPA; excellent, well constructed, fresh feeling.

Pours deep amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wood, funk and hint of berries and fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a funky, woody and slighty roasty finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

15.10.2013, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice slightly brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is very fresh, dark malts, brett, hops, pine needles, coffee, licorice, grass, leafs. Taste is strange dry grassy, dark malts, brett, grass, citrus peel, pine needles, coffee, leafs, licorice. Longlasting bitterness, both dry and kind of oily mouthfeel at the same time. Not really sure if I like it or not, but at least it’s very interesting.

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of brett, roasted malt, licorice, coffee and some hoppy and fruity notes. Funky, fruity and hoppy, just lightly sweet with a quite dry and bitter finish. Delicious beer! Complex and flavourful with well integrated alcohol. Very nice and a great choice to celebrate my Spanish beer no #100. More of this please!

Bier Temple, Amsterdam. Keg. Dark red - amber beer with a good pale tan head. Flemish sour nose. Palate is light and crisp. Softish malt, a touch creamy contrasts with sharp crisp brett. Undertone of blackberry, blackcurrant and subtle cherry. Finishes dry and crisp with a bitter bretty aftertaste.
