Cask at Arendsnest. Clear deep mohagony with fluffy offwhite head. Sweet roasted malts, red fruit, berries, massive rye bread, booze. Big sweet and bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. Heavy slice of fruity malt cake. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cuvée du Owl on 04 Jun 2018 at 09:24 - Score: 6 --- Beer merged from original tick of Cuvée du Owl (2018) on 03 Jul 2018 at 10:04 - Score: 6. Cask at Arendsnest. Dark brown with a big thick tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, malt and grassy hops. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with barely any carbonation. Odd.

Bottle. Color: Reddish brown, tan head. Aroma: Rather sweet, amaretto, fudge, hints of butter. Taste: Over medium sweet, moderate bitter. Notes of amaretto, fudge, Sugar, almonds. Hints of red fruit, wood. Bit boozy finish. Full body, smooth and dry mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty complex. Somewhat different from most other wood aged beer because of the use of Amaretto, working out well. Nice beer for slow sipping.

330 ml. bottle split with SinH4 @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Dark red amber with no head. Nose is low butter, stone fruit, sugar, cough syrup, caramel, amaretto. No butter in taste luckily all amaretto finish, lingering, caramel, sugar, very warming, toffee, caramel, sugar, cake, more amaretto. Amaretto caramel, malt sugar syrup, wonderful sipper.
