Backlog from 2014 KØLF tasting. Unclear amber body with a big, dense beige head. Aroma is malty with some caramel and dry red fruit. Flavor is sweet with malt, caramel, dry fruit and a bit earthy. Medium body and average aftertaste. Drinkable, but feels a bit plain and straight forward.

Nose is a little thin but not unpleasant encompassing fruits, brown bread and malty notes. Taste comprises toffee, dark malts, spice, stoned fruit mash, light sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok easy drinker but lacking depth for the ABV presented.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, dense, light beige head. Malty, nutty nose with caramel and a faint roasted touch. Some dried fruits too. The flavor has a nice sweetness, it’s nutty and caramel-ish, with some chocolate hints. Semi-dry on the palate, full-bodied and with a tad hard carbonation. Caramel, nuts and dried fruits in the finish. A quite decent Christmas beer, but it lacks compexity. 140301
