Flaske 0,33l. Batch 41. Gave fra Rune. Brukt som matøl på RV124 17 Des 13. Mørk aprikosfarget. Uklar. Veldig hissig. Åpnet den heldigvis over vasken. Lavt skum. God plomme/ferskenaroma med litt krydder. Smaken innholdsrik. Ikke påtrengende, men her finner en mandler, frukt og litt krydder. Blir litt syrlig i avslutningen. Klumpsedimenter i siste kvelling.

0.33l bottle from #21. Quite cloudy think it has a really deep dark amber almost chestnut dark color in the glass. Head-wise it's medium sized, nicely lacing and light beige in color. At first the aroma is kinda mild. Only subtle traces of something sweet and caramelly with subtle near spicy hits, more caramelly. Grains are easily identifiable here. It's kinda hard to describe this aroma. Is it vanilla? Is it dried fruits? Probably a bit of both, but it's well blended. Flavor vise this falls through a bit for my delicate elegant taste buds. Unfortunately. A light almost sour-grainy flavor here. Lots of it. Spices, yes perhaps a little bit but something has gone almost wrong with this. It has this near sour wet hay thing with hay and yeast, lots of papery cardboard and a little bit of almond cake. A little burned thing also in the background. It almost feels a bit slimy in the mouth and the carbonation is below average. Gingerly finish, but this is not my kind of Christmas beer, and I highly doubt that this is supposed to taste like this. 05.11.2013

Pours Amber, with a big and creamy but quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is roasted caramel malts, bread, dark fruits, kandi and some whiffs of coffee as well as a slight hoppy sting in the background. Average body with soft carbonation. Flavour is quite sweet with burned malts, grain and molasses, but with a rather hoppy bitterness lingering in the back.

Bottle at home. Has a hazy dark amber colour wit a big, light beige head that diminish fast. Malty aroma with dried fruit, wood, leather, rye bread, nuts and fruity hops. The flavour is similar, but is lighter. Slick and rich mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. And okay ale but the flavour is a bit lighter than expected. Well-balanced.

Draught, 250ml nicely served in a tulip shaped glass at Amundsen Bryggeri og Spiseri. Low, beige head to a deep, rosewood coloured body. Dark malts and dark fruits on the nose. Chocolate malt and cinnamon flavours linked with star anise. Roasted malt-fruity tail with noticeable alcohol. Medium bodied. Nice without lasting impressions (Oslo 12.12.2013).
