A full bodied IPA with a firm bitterness and a distinctive hoppy aroma due to a generous addition of Citra hop during fermentation.

schenkt licht olie achtig in mooi helder amber met volle fijne witte kraag. aroma is flink hoppig, stro, citrus, mango, zoet, grapefruit, vers, ok. Smaken van caramel, toffee, matig zoet, matig tot redelijk hoppig, zacht en romig, degelijke IPA, harsige bitterheid, en ook redelijk wat koffie, matige body, droge afdronk.

Bottle at home, dark orange beer, small head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hops. Taste is the same, maybe even some coffee? would say this is more a double ipa than an ipa. nice nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours dark, rather clear amber, with a big, but very fluffy, mildly stable white head. Smell is Very malt-forward. Some caramelly notes, as well as some clear toast, and mild biscuit. taste is mostly malty, very toasty ! caramel is way less than expected. A hint of bitterness towards the end, no real yeasty notes to me. mild fruityness, more from the hops than from the esthers. Still though, an IPA should be way more hoppy than this ! I do like the taste though ! the carbonation is rather low, which I like, but did not expect after a big head when poured softly. Medium body. overall, this is an OK beer. The problem is though, this is sold as an IPA. That creates expectations this one does not meet .

Sampled semi drunk at Cafe The Jack in Eindhoven shared with Ferris. Hazy orange brown color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malts, some hops, lightly caramel. Taste malts, again some hops, caramel and some hop and malt bitter. Bit earthy. Meh.

On tap at LIB Speciaalbier Festival, Leiden ’16. Hazy amber with a cream head. Aroma of strong coffee, light fruits, light malt, mostly dominated by the coffee though. Flavour is light moderate sweet and heavy bitter lingering long in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
