Bottle, LDB.
Golden amber, bright. Thin head. The aroma is very much full of old school c-hops: piney, touch orangey, and a nice caramelly malt backdrop. Sweet front, with biscuity, caramelly malts. Bitterness is medium low. Hop character is lightly piney, but takes a back seat to the malts in this beer - oddly for a fresh hop beer it is the bitterness that provides most of the hop influence. Pretty good moreish 90s APA - nailing the malts was really key here.

Draught at the brewery
Golden color, hazy. Nice crackery malts, a hint of caramel, good bitterness level; the body is lean, the hop has some resiny quality.
Not an amazing beer, but at least it has some hop quality, better than the average BC fresh hop beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden with a tan head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, slightly floral and dirty. Taste is slightly dirty as well with grassy bitterness notes. Quite harsh, but not bad though.

On tap at Powell Street, pour a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite dry, with leafy hops and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney and leafy dry hops, and a crisp biscuity malt backbone. Fresh and crisp, with a nice use of wet hops. Nice one.
