Barrel Fermented Missouri Black Saison with Cherries
Kriek Noir du Fermier is a dark farmhouse ale in which the robust, yet dry malt bill is balanced with the brightness, depth and rustic character of the wild Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus found on our family’s Missouri farm. This farmhouse ale was fermented in and aged in red wine barrels for several months with Michigan Balaton and Montmorency Cherries before being naturally conditioned in this bottle.

Funky, sour and heavy with jammy cherry notes, some oak and stingy wood, farmyardy notes. Heavy and sour.

On tap at Side Project Cellar. Dark brown with beige head. Funky, intensive cherries, jammy, medium sourness, barrel. Surprisingly complex.

Bottle shared with Pete. Pours a kind of reddish brown that is thick looking like wine. Little to no head. Aromas of sour cherries and barrel with a little coconut maybe. Flavor is delightful cherry and dark sour. Perfect!
