Slip into some sunshine and step off the grid by Goin’ Coastal with this pineapple laced IPA. The bright aromas of the five citrus hop additions are accentuated by the tropical fruit of the pineapple. And just like those three day weekends, its finish is quick. Golden copper in color with a full malt bill to bring the balance to our year round offering.

Bottle shared at Chris & Ruth´s House. A almost clear golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of orange fruits, tangerine, medium bitterness. Taste of zeste orange fruits, tangerine, medium bitterness, nice!

12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden yellow color, fizzy white, fluffy head. Aroma was some pineapple tropical notes, sweet juicy tropical fruits. Flavor was some light tropical notes. Light sweetness. Light bitterness on the finish. Decent.

Bottle. Pineapple, biscuit malt, and orange peel aroma. Clear golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet pineapple, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Okay body. Decent but kind of a let down flavor wise.

Can from Exxon Garage, Topsail, North Carolina. Dirty amber with a small head. Strong tasting with the pineapple at its best and lingering long in its aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Another one of those fruit IPAs. I’d imagine this had to have come out in 2016...not the batch, the style.... Unfiltered looking copper-orange body. Foamy, frothy white head. Rather middle of the road in all respects. Uninspired and unimpressive. Totally Un.

On draught at Winking Lizard. Cloudy dark golden color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, pineapple and doughy malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap tab Kanes the last draft I hadn’t had didn’t expect 9 ticks from poolside tiki bar but I got em. Pretty orange Amber pour. Nose is tropical fruits and light malt. Tastes of tart pineapple (but subdued for being additive), pine, resin, par malt, lemon and orange. Medium bodied decently carbonated. Not a bad beer for the circumstances despite still being morally against fruit ipas

One of the more poundable fruit IPAs out there. Nice pineapple-citrus notes against a sturdy biscuit-caramel malt base. Mild sweetness peeks through the piney hop middle, and the finish is appreciably dry, the IBUs staying put while resinous hops cling to the palate. Big pineapple nose, and the texture’s perfect for a sunny day at the ballpark.
