Slip into some sunshine and step off the grid by Goin’ Coastal with this pineapple laced IPA. The bright aromas of the five citrus hop additions are accentuated by the tropical fruit of the pineapple. And just like those three day weekends, its finish is quick. Golden copper in color with a full malt bill to bring the balance to our year round offering.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville, 5/22/16. Hazy golden, large foamy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of fresh pineapple, pale malt and a bit of pine. The taste is pine, resin, pale malt, tart pineapple. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness and tartness, well balanced, refreshing.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is hazy, light copper with noticeable floaters, 2-finger width off-white frothy head with good retention, nice sparkle, and nice sticky lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit, citrus, herbs, light pineapple. Taste is early mild sweet tropical fruit and pineapple with late moderate bitterness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin, foamy texture, lively carbonation and dry, moderately bitter finish. Overall, everything is solid but aroma and taste could be a bit bolder and palate a bit fuller.

One Last Shag, Brooklyn Tap: pours orange with a white head. Aroma is malt, grapefruit, and some pineapple. Taste is basically your standard IPA with slight notes of pineapple. Nothing too crazy. Very easy to drink... Drank it pretty quickly.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel color with a large creamy orange-white head that left great lacing. The aroma was tart and citric with a bit of pineapple. The flavor was tart, bitter, citric and perfumey with a hint of pineapple. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.
