[Cask at Plough Inn, Wingfield, Bedfordshire] Amber-tan with a small white head. No carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Some straw in the flavour, but little else - dominated by a very bitter finish. Too bitter for me I’m afraid (surprised others here have said it was sweet).

Cask at Banbury Beer Festival Fri 23rd March. One of my favourite beers that did exactly as it ’said on the tin’ i.e it was indeed a dark dry bitter although more amber than really dark. I got a taste of marzipan in my first mouthfull which to a lesser degree kept coming back with each subsequent slurp. This was a thoroughly decent beer that I could happily have had a session of, most enjoyable.
