Bottle from Beer Emporium, Bristol. Poured dark brown with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, vanilla, lightly roasted. Medium to heavy sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask handpull at Craft Covent Garden, black beer lasting tan head. yes tasty chocolate vanilla mix. Dry and spicy. Yes worth the high scores lots of dark bitter chocolate here.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, vanilla aroma. Tastes malty, chocolate, vanilla, slightly bitter.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. An opaque black pour with a thin cream head; sweet vanilla raoma; rich smooth and grainy in the mouth with a vanilla taste; and a long dry toasty finish. Nicely balanced, the vanilla isn’t overpowering, giving the malts a chance to show through.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thick beige head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of ash, blackcurrant, liquorice, vanilla and wood. Flavour of earth, chocolate and berries. Lots of flavour for the ABV. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Very soft fizz. A stunning Porter.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is light vanilla, roasted chocolate, taste is sweet milk chocolate, vanilla.

500ml bottle from Saucy Pears, Worcester. Dark cola colour with no head. Aroma is very light almost nothing. The taste has roasted malt but is a touch watery.
