Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. An opaque black pour with a thin cream head; sweet vanilla raoma; rich smooth and grainy in the mouth with a vanilla taste; and a long dry toasty finish. Nicely balanced, the vanilla isn’t overpowering, giving the malts a chance to show through.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thick beige head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of ash, blackcurrant, liquorice, vanilla and wood. Flavour of earth, chocolate and berries. Lots of flavour for the ABV. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Very soft fizz. A stunning Porter.
