84 is the name of the building where our brewery is located. It used to be a dressing room for the maintenance workers of the trains and train station. This Imperial Stout is a homage for the guys that used the place before us. Cheers for the hard-working middle class.

Quite disappointing really. It does mask the alcohol well though.

Draught at Taphouse. My Dutch beer no. 100. Pitch black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with heavy coffee aromas, dark malts. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted bitter with coffee and vanilla. To one sided for me.

Bottle thanks to Nihtila. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen. Nice fawn head. Nose - molasses and burnt toffee. Creamy chocolate. Dried fruit and booze. Taste - burnt raisins and chocolate. Intermingled prunes. Palate - full bodied with a rich creamy texture and a long rich finish. Challenging but great. Overall - a bit gnarly but good.
