It’s a toad not a frog! Unmistakable citrus and floral notes from only the best American Cascade hops balanced with a crisp dry finish make this straw coloured ale a fantastic session beer. All that flavour in a 3.6%.

Clear deep gold with a frothy white head. No significant aroma above a touch of light cereal. Light to medium bodied, has a floral hop bite up front, caramel, fruit and malt to follow with a dry, earthy bitter finish

House bitter at my village pub and a classic example of a true English Bitter. Gorgeous colour in the glass and a fine, yet simple head. Lots going on in the mouth, with plenty of malt and bittering hope, plus the great house yeast. And all this with a sensible abv. I could drink this all night and that's the point.

Half-pint, cask at Lower Red Lion. Bright amber coloured body, filmy layer, poor lacing. Moderate smell of toffee and ripe fruits. Malt-fruity flavours, hints of grapefruit and light malty sweetness. Discreet bitterness to a mid-dry ending. Satisfying. (St Albans, 27.09.2023).
