Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, piney hop, orange, some coffee. Firm bitter flavour with a light sweetness, long bitter aftertaste. Above medium body, manages to hide the 10% very well. A surprising smash hit.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown, almost black colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, dark malty and herbal, resinous, minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of liquorice, a touch of salmiak, some sweet-ish, unspecific fruitiness, some zesty, citrusy fruitiness, orange peel. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, bitter, resinous and slightly fruity hoppy, slightly alcoholic, hints of liquorice, orange peel. Slightly oily texture, smooth, soft, minimally greasy palate, medium o fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite intense, condensed, bitter, not overly complex - fairly passable.
