Odd Society barrel, so expecting a lavender bomb. I didn’t think much of the regular tripel. The nose is big Odd Society lavender. On the palate, definitely sticky, lots of lavender. Finish is closer to being balanced due to the spiciness the barrel imparts. Mediocre base beer is rarely saved by the barrel, but I do think this is one of the better contexts for an odd society gin barrel - it should be fairly compatible with a tidier tripel.
