It is a very dark beer, with an intense torrado flavor. Used Maltas are horneadas until the dark that are similar the one of toasted burned, cacao or coffee. In the Antares Imperial Stout sweet tobacco aromas and raisins of grape with burned and alcoholic notes megre to produce intense bouquet.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Maierovicz’s place. Thanks Niva and Chula. Dark brown with a beige head. Roasty aroma of dark chocolate. Bittersweet roasty flavor with dark chocolate, some coffee and a more bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Pleasant. Pretty light for an Imperial Stout.

33cl bottle @ Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pitch black, opaque color, medium sized beige head. Smell malts, lightly alcohol, some caramel. Taste malts, dark malts, slightly roasty, caramel, some coffee. A bit thin texture, but it’s not that much bothering me. Medium carbo, low to medium body.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a small creamy head. Not too much aroma here, but some caramelly malts and some notes of smoke. Flavour is burned malts and coffee, giving this a dry finish.

A smoked, full aroma. Taste is also very thick, has notes of alcohol, roast and smoked dark malts. Definitely the best brew I’ve had from Antares, but it’s not that interesting compared to some of the imperial stouts I’ve had.

12 oz. bottle, pours dark brown. Aroma of soy sauce and mushrooms. Flavour of soy, iodine and stale malt. Either something wrong here or this is a piss poor attempt at an impy stout. Not at all good.
