Sample from tap, CBF 2014. Pitch black with a dense, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with coffee, chocolate, a herbal sweetness - honey, liquorice, light alcohol notes. Taste is sweet. Full body with an oily texture. Finishes dry and herbal bitter with rich malts and chocolate. Light booze. Good.

Draught @ Fermentoren. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized dark brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts and a bit weird somehow... A lot of liquorice and I don’t know what it is but I totally dislike it. Weird, a bit smoky, plant-like and tobacco. Yuk, not my thing at all.

Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big rich malty hop liqourice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ Haket. Pours viscous pitch black with a frothy and creamy dark mocha head that slowly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, soy sauce, dark roast coffee, chocolate, molasses, sweet and salty liquorice candy, leather, raisins and prunes. Taste is sweet, bitter, fruity and malty with roasted malts, heavy raisins, dark roast coffee, moist soil, leather, burnt cereal, caramel, burnt oatmeal cookies, hay, prunes, dates, chocolate, purple winegums and soy sauce. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly sticky sweet and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and fruity with roasted malts, burnt oatmeal cookies, caramel, raisins, prunes, hay, moist soil, leather and sweet soy sauce. Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2013 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, salty, light soy sauce. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, roasted, salty notes. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130525]
