Bottled. Black colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is mild wood, some vanilla, roasted and mild lactose tones. Flavour is wood, some dried fruits, vanilla, roasted and mild lactose tones. Easy going mild Impy.

330 ml bottle, BB date 01.05.2015. From Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.2%. Black colour, low tan head. Intense aroma of bourbon, oak and vanilla, also roast malts, molasses, coffee and liquorice. The flavour is malty but not extremely roasty, with a slight acidity, also notes of bourbon, vanilla and oak. Too moderate hops.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Tan-coloured head to a devil-black body. Pleasant smell of chocolate malts, oak, and dark berries beneath. Blend of black currant, oak, and dark malts joined by a discreet touch of bourbon. Prolonged mid-sweet ending. Fine bodied. Quite enjoying (shared with Finn at a session in Tromsø 08.04.2015).

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune og delt med ham på Rundvannet 8 Apr 15. Svart. Mokkafarget stabilt skum. Forsiktig aroma av solbær. Smaken det samme. Syrlig etter hvert.

Bottle. Pours black, with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts with cocoa and bourbon, as well as oak and tobacco. A bit unbalanced. Light body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is quite hot with alcohol, as well as malty notes with bourbon and dark fruits, and a sourish malty finish.

Nydelig duft av whisky, lakris, vanilje og sjokolade. Sort farge. Lite skum, litt langs kant. Smak av frukter med et snev av whisky.

Shared bottle at Schouskjelleren- thanks! Nice one. Deep malty flavours, lots of wood some sour notes and berries. Quite pleasant!

Bottle 330ml. @ [ The Danish Summer Gathering, TSODRBSG13 ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, oak, wood, alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, oak, dark malt, sweet malt, tart, licorice - berry notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130831]

0.33l bottle. Damn this is black. As jet pitch black as they come, looks a bit like motor oil when pouring it into my glass and it's leaving a medium sized deep dark brown head. On the nose it's really wood infused, roasted, dark and alcohol rich. Lots of sweetness from the bourbon and there are also traced of licorice and burned wood here. Not bad. It's really wood acidic in the taste this. Almost like it's infected or something. Not sure it it's supposed to taste like this. Thick and oily in he mouth and it has a soft carbonation level. That sourness really took me of guard. I get little of heavy roasted malts here, lots of wood and it's really flavorful. Ends with a warming alcohol sting. A but strange, but paired with chocolate not all that bad. 26.10.2013

Bottle. Jet black body under a dense, dark tan head that lasts. Quite a lot of bourbon on the nose, molasses too, and some roasted hints and licorice. It’s quite berry-ish in the flavor, sort of like a blend of cherries and strawberries. Molasses, roasted malts and bourbon too. Some licorice. Medium bodied and and pleasantly carbonated, with some alcohol warmth. Starting off quite nice this one, but overall it’s nothing but mediocre. 140111
