Cask at the King William IV Bunny Basher - 30/03/13, pump clip states 6.5%. Very lightly hazed chestnut brown with a thin off white head that clears to a film. Nose is dark malt, nutty, caramel, toffee, grain. Taste carries a caramel backbone, light salt, dark malt, sugars. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the finish with a hint of salt. Decent enough effort at something a little different!

Cask at the King William IV Brew Pub. Clear amber beer, tiny pale tan head, bubbly. Palate is fairly light with moderate carbonation. Sweetish malt, yes a trace of caramel. Well integrated and subtle generic fruits. Finishes fairly smooth. There is an unusual savoury character to this beer without it ever being overtly salty. Tasty and satisfying.

Cask at the Old Coffee House, London. Pours clear, red-briwn with a soft, fluffy beige head. Burnt caramel in the nose, light dirt. Big sweet flavor with gooey, syrupy caramel, butterscotch, earthy bitterness, toast, burnt sugars. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with earthy, dirty bitterness slicing through, with more charred caramel, coffee candy, butterscotch, sugar syrup. Interesting. Could be a bit saltier!
