Bottle had along with the rum BA version. This one has a slightly sweeter aroma (surprisingly) and whisky, wood and vanilla. Full body. Flavour is malty, dark malts, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, wood, prunes and fig, molasses. Lovely, a bit better even than the rum BA.

2/1/2021. Bottle from De Bierliefhebber online store. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, malt, toffee, biscuit, liquorice, dried fruits, touch of nut. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Full bodied, creamy/sticky texture, soft carbonation. Warming finish. Very nice.

Il est certain que cette Ex-Girlfriend est appropriée pour vieillir en fût. Ici, la brasserie Joppen nous propose une version vieillie 250 jours en fut de Jack Daniel's et malheureusement le whisky prend ici trop les devants pour une réussite totale. L'ensemble n'en n'est pas moins très appréciable avec une bonne vivacité mais l'ex de l'ex est mieux foutue. Le visuel reste sur un joli brun bronze sans mousse. Au nez nous avons le whisky qui s'ajoute aux arômes de la base avec caramel, candy, prune, raisin et épices. Si à l'attaque on retrouve un bon équilibre entre whisky et base, le whisky prend largement les devants en seconde bouche mais également sur l’arrière-bouche, racée. L'alcool a d'ailleurs pris un coup de boost sur cette version avec 14 %. L'amertume à 35 IBU est également légèrement supérieure. Le final sobre reste également très agréable. A déguster lentement.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Salted licorice, raisin and a hint of whisky in the aroma and flavor. Sweet, full bodied, warming alcohol.

Bottle from hetbiermoment.nl. Pours dark brown-black with beige head. Aroma is intense whisky, sweet, caramel, malt, fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, booze, whisky, malt. Finis is sugary sweet, some licorice with booze. Overall: very good, but bit too much on the boozy side.

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting, 25/07/2018. Many thanks. A mostly clear nut brown coloured pour with no head. Aroma is alcohol, paint, brown malts, some solvent. Flavour is composed of oily, brown raisin, cakey, nutty malts, brown apple. Hides the abv well. . Palate is medium sweet, oily, lowish carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Kenny, 25/07/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent khaki head. Nose is mellow roast, JD & coke, dark malts, ashen notes, cocoa sprinkle, dried fruits. Taste comprises sweet chocolate, toffee melt, booze tunes, dark malts, meaty, mellow JD, vinous twang. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Ok sipper ... drinks below the ABV but also lacks depth for it.
