11th October 2008. GABF. Smooth but dry palate. Toasted malt. Dry finish. Where is that Oatmeal silky sweetness?

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5
Very dark brown. Aroma is roasty, coffeeish. Palate is oaty, roasty, quite nutty. Body is a little thin, leaving a harsh roasty bitterness in the finish.

Very chocolate aroma, very inviting, but you are quickly disappointed - thin bodied, decent flavor, but nothing really stand out - nothing that sets it apart from other middle-of-the road oatmeal stouts.
