Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is pale malts, light toasted malt, citrus fruits, grass. Taste comprises grass, orange, summer fruit, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with a little bitterness. So so, can’t say I detected any whisky in this one!

Cask at the Grill, Aberdeen. Stonehaven charity beer made with Fettercairn whisky! It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is sweetish, toffee, honey, earth, wood, faint whisky and light medicinal notes. The taste is earth, wood, light iodine, hay, some bitterness, medicinal and faint toffee with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Thankfully the whisky is not over-done. Interesting, but not overly drinkable.
