Though retired, this is my take on this well before it was retired. Sorry for the late upload.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was an amber color with a slight transparency about it to allow a decent carbonation to be seen rising into a one finger white foamy head. Once the head died down, there was some thin messy lacing here and there.
The smell had a light earthy bittered English maltiness normally construed as \"soapy\" to some but to me I understand what Sweetwater was trying to do.
The taste was the English bitter malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and somewhat smooth and creamy with a gentle breadiness running over my tongue and mouth.
Overall, good ESB. Sweetwater did everything they could do with this beer.

Copper color with a small head. Nice malty aroma that is backed up by a nicely balanced malt/hop palate. The dry finish is perfect for this beer. Nice Bitter.

Light copper/amber colour with a large dense off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, mixed with nice malt and plentiful english hops. Medium-bodied; Very bittering with the english hops up front, fading quickly to show the malt character. Aftertaste left clean, but somewhat bitter. No sugars to speak of though. Overall, a decent beer, not my favourite bitter though! I got this twelve ounce bottle from Mabdoney in a trade way back in August! Cheers Matt! I sampled this one on 21-November-2003.

Light bronze; sour apple & medicine aroma; curranty hops late - centennial maybe? Uneventful.
