A unique blend of pale malts and exotically fruity New Zealand hops.
This smooth yet bitter East India pale ale was originally from an 1860’s London brewery brought back to life with a new twist.

Bottle, backlog April 2014. Clear golden body under a nice, foamy white head. Light citric fruity aroma, some oranges and cabbed fruit. Taste is sweet and bitter with mild malt and citric fruit. Medium body and average aftertaste with medium bitterness. Decent, and a bit anonymous.

Bottle. A dense, off-white head forms over a more or less clear golden body. Some curtains. The aroma hasn’t got much to offer, there’s some pale malts and pine cones, a generic fruityness too. The aroma has the same problems, lacking on both malts and hops. Medium body, a bit too much carbonation. Short finish. A quite decent one, but oh so boring and uninteresting. 140418

Bottled 500ml ABM. Hazy orange color, small white head. Exotic fruity aroma has passion fruity, lychee, grapefruit and hints of barnyard. Medium-bodied. Very sweet exotic fruity flavor. Not much bitterness, some grapefruit in the aftertaste. Pale maltyness. Lacks hop bite.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity hop aroma has a gooseberry note, some lime, a wet strawy touch. Taste is dry hoppy, minimally tart, a fruity note of gooseberry, some lime, lemon zest; bitter finish. Nothing special.

Hazy gold beer, little white bubbly head. Palate is light and dry and smooth. Lovely hops - lemon and lime, well balanced with floral flavours and a little earth. Neutral malt base really shows off the NZ hops. Semi dry finish. Savoured every mouthful of this great NZ hop showcase.
