Pulpit Supply Brown would be best described as an India Brown Ale, bringing the rich,
roasted, nutty complexity of a brown ale face to face with the bright crisp citrus florals of an
IPA. Pulpit Supply is rich and malty enough to enter the brown category and just hoppy
enough to remind the palate of an IPA.

Can to mug.
Appearance: super dark brown color with an eggshell white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some nice lace
Aroma: big earthy, floral to piney hops coating the roasted malty nuttiness, caramel & toffee malts blend in nicely
Flavor: mirrors the aromas bittersweetly and roasty, sly aftertaste of earthy & piney hoppy tones with roast
Texture: medium bodied, some sessionability, fairly smooth along my tongue, finishes crisp & earthy
Overall: anyone out there remember Dogfish Head's India Brown Ale? I do and this beer slightly is reminiscent of that - an American Brown ale - definitely hoppy and hoppier than it's English counterpart.

This brown ale poured a deep amber/brown colour with a creamy, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include malt, a little ripe fruit and must. First swig was pretty good. Flavours of light smoke, toast and malt most prominent. Finish is lightly bitter with delicious malty, toast flavours lingering.
