Kong Sverre is a barley wine brewed with Kveik® (Norwegian yeast). This yeast, sourced from a traditional Norwegian brewer, produces soft, orange-like aromas. Kong Sverre is full-bodied, slightly hoppy and pleasantly fruity.

On tap at NHBF'18. Clear deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of sweet thick malts, alcohol, sweet bread. Flavour is sweet, malty, thick, alcohol, hint of raisin, light white pepper in the finish. Medium to full bodied. A bit one-dimensional but tasty enough.

Tap at NBPF. Clear amber with bubbly beige head. Sweet malts, apricot, light milky funny yeast, bready, light roast, a touch of weird sick. Quite sweet and bitter, almost full bodied. A bit weird, it’s not bad but I don’t want to drink much of it.
