Can from the LCBO. Black pour, with a large beige head. Aroma is roasty, Pine resin notes, light soy. Good motuhfeel, creamy carb. Low bitterness, hint of cocoa amidst the roast and resins. Not bad, but a bit muted.

Dark brown colour with a touch of copper highlights, a big frothy-creamy light-mocha coloured with good retention and beautiful creamy-wavy-soapy lacing. The nose shows big grassy hops over the mild roasted malt base. Wet, refreshing mouthfeel with not much dryness, which I was expecting. The taste shows the roasted barley showing some fruity notes, almost berrylike. Hints of licorice, herbal. An easy-drinking, refreshing Black IPA.

This dark poured a deep black colour with a thick, very creamy brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include light smoke, roasted malt, a little cardboard and little resin? First swig was smooth and creamy with flavours of ash, molasses, smoke and Melloids cough drops. Finish is smokey with light hop flavour lingering.
