Flaske fra Meny Hønefoss, delt med Einar: klar mahognyfarge og beige skum som varer. God aroma av karamell/knekk og mild humle. Smaken er (karamell)maltdominert og en forsiktig bitterhet for nødvendig balanse. Noe bæraktig innslag mot slutten. Litt metallisk ettersmak, men allikevel god. En behagelig og fint karbonert øl, etter to timer med vedkløyving og stabling. Iflg etiketten er det brukt "utvalgt britisk malt i kombinasjon med hele blader av humle og klassisk overgjær med 200 års stamtavle". Et øl med stamtavle! Og jeg som bare har brukt humlekonglene må nok gå over til å bruke hele blader...

Small slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, toffee, nuts, dark sugar, grass, hints of coffee and licorice. Taste is sweet, caramel malts, nuts, toffee, grass, licorice, hints of coffee and cardboard. Medium bitterness, soft carbonation. Boring.

Bottle 500ml. clear glass.Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, malt extract, light cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, bread, brown sugar, caramel, caramelized sugar - malt, wet cardboard. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131123]

500 ml clear bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 4.7%. Beautiful reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Sweetish-sourish aroma with notes of lightstruck hops, some caramel. Soft flavour with distinct notes of caramel, but not too sweet. Minimal hops. Clearly drinkable, but far from exciting.

Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours clear dark amber, with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, sugar, molasses, and hints of fruit. Dusty flavour, sweetish, with notes of fruit. Sour notes. Sth must have gone wrong. Peppery and sourish aftertaste. Oh, dear.

Pours clear copper/amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, cardboard and oxidation. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel and oxidized finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
