75cl bottle from superbrugsen enghavevej. slightly cloudy brown , light brown head.bitter nutty, metallic, bitter malty aroma. flavor is malty, nutty, bitter nutty, slightly brown cookie spicy. Overall impression is northern europe bitter hoppyness, and some spices and some nutty notes thrown in. I think this could be a refreshing christmas beer.

Bottle. A clear, dark amber beer topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite malty, with caramel, some cooked vegetables and a little bready hint. It’s effervescent on the palate, full-bodied and almost sticky. Dried fruits, bread, nuts, caramel and a generic maltyness in the flavor. Lasting caramel finish with a touch of bread and bitterness. Well, I’d certainly expect more than this from a bock from Jacobsen. 140418

Big bottle from an Illum store in Copenhagen. Creamy, beige head slowly diminishing over a clear, dark amber body. Fine lacework down the glass. Aromas of herbal hops and earthy malts. Malt-fruity taste of caramel, stewed fruits and mild spices. Slightly jam-like. Smooth roasted endnotes. Yuletide impression in a satisfying way (Hotel room, last beer after some nice advent days in Copenhagen 08.12.2013).
