St. Bretta is our 100% Brettanomyces Whitebier that was just released this week! Not only is St. Bretta an evolution of Wild Wild Brett Orange, but also it will be ever-changing depending on the fresh citrus available that season. For our spring release we decided to brew St. Bretta with fresh Minneola Tangelo. Each seasonal release of St. Bretta will have a diverse range of citrus fruit added to keep the beer fresh and exciting (the summer release was brewed with blood oranges)!

Bottle 375ml.Unclear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, citrus, fruity, brett - leather, tart fruit, spicy, coriander, herbs notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and moderate bitter with a long duration, citrus, yeast, brest, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130901]

Draft @ Crooked Stave @ The Source, Denver, CO. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy bretty aroma. Fruity malty bretty citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty bretty finish.

Bottle from International Trade; hazy light amber pour with big creamy white head, big brett aroma, spicy taste and quite a lot of fruit mandarin, grapes, sweet and some tartness.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a small off-white creamy head that laces well. Aroma is, well, odd. I smell some Brett, but its kind of bathroomy rather than barnyardy, and some fruit and wheat as well. Flavor is a DEFINITE improvement, with citrus, Brett (back in a good way), wheat, more citrus. Initial sweetness, drying out on the finish. Minimal bitterness and not much in the way of extraneous spices either, which makes me happy. Medium body, bubbly carbonation. A nice beer once you get past the aroma.

12.7 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours an opaque cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out the funky brett above anything, followed by wheat and a touch of citrus. Flavour brings out loads of citrus and brett upfront, though the citrus outshines as it's extremely citric (!), followed by a touch of wheat. Very astringency citrusy notes upfront, followed by moderate funky brett notes. Highly drinkable and refreshing. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle shared by Fonefan at his place. Opaque murky pale yellow color, small to medium sized white head. Aroma is very nice and balanced, I get wheat, brett, fruitpeel, orangepeel, citrus, grapes, a bit winey. Taste is fresh, balanced, very nice. Again brett, winey, grapes, citrus, orangepeel. Fantastic beer.

Very nice. If wits always turned out like this I’d be a fan. Cloudy yellow without much head or lacing. Citrus and lots of bretta in aroma. Sour finish with some crispness. Slick mouthfeel. Nice. Thanks to Sammy.

Refrigerated 375 ml brown bottle, from adnielson, poured into a weizen glass. Pours tranlucent pale golden with small white head. Sour brett aroma, medium body, low carbonation, smooth texture, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is tart brett, tangelo, and rich malt. Interestingly different.
