Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear golden amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is fruity with malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a zesty fruit, malt, liqourice palate. Rather nice actually. A half decent Golden ale.

500ml bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Not sure what’s happened here, but I don’t seem to have rated this. Gold orange with slight haze lasting off white head. Earthy golden ale. Decent hop sting on finish, some toffeeish malts. Fine. Drinkable. 3/5 Re-rate bottle from a colleague. Balanced malty hoppy golden ale. I liked it.

0.5l bottle. Ill give them that, they are unique those st Peters bottles. I can see where it gets it name from this, it's a clear golden one and it has a small bubbly and islandy off white top. Doesn't smell fantastic in my nose this. It has lots of dry bitter caramel, it's really floral like old flowers and grass, some slightly buttery tones in the background as well. Quite classic golden/bitter aroma I guess. It surprises me that it a actually has a mouthfeel this, and the carbonation level is not that bad either. About average with those small bubbles. It's somewhat easy to drink, lots of floral old flowery and grassy bitterness, again that dry almost wood-bitter caramel flavor often found in these beers and it ends with a grainy malty finish. Well, it not completely sold, but it's a drinkable one. 15.05.2013

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; clear golden amber pour with soapy white head, weak malt & caramel aroma, a slight hint of citrus hope in the taste, medium bitterness, quite crisp.

Whole Foods, Bowery 50cl ($5): Pours a orange color with with a small head. Aroma is hoppy, vegetal, grassy, with a slight malty bit. Taste is nice grassy hops. Malts are pretty light but provide a good backdrop. This is one dimensional, but quite good.

Bottle. Golden colour with an off-white head, medium lasting. Aroma is medium hoppy and grassy. Flavor is moderate bittery, earthy with a bittery and dry final. Carbonation and body are medium.

(bottle) Clear golden with big white head. Aroma is gassy hops and some bready malt. Medium body and well carbonated, almost fizzy. A little shallow in foretaste, but not unpleasant, largely light maltiness, but transitioning to a solid bitter finish. Overall quite pleasant but not very well balanced.
