English Pale malts coupled with Challenger and Goldings hops provide the bitterness and aroma. The result is a highly distinctive light, golden ale, with caramel aromas, a pleasing toffee apple flavour and a late bitterness.

Jasno złote piwo o subtelnym smaku i delikatnej goryczce. Na podniebieniu pozostawia wyrażny smak. Zapach kwiatowy, świeży.

Gold/orange color with thin head. Aroma is malty with honey sweetness. It’s quite dry and bitter. Has thick mouthfeel and minimal carbonation. It’s refreshinh and slightly crisp. Solid beer, but I’ve seen better from S’Peter’s.

A pretty nice bitterness but not extraordinary. Pretty boring. Amber in color with a white head.

50cl bottle. Poured golden color with a thin white head. Aroma has biscuits, caramel and some honeylike notes. Flavor has caramel, toffee and light sweetness. Medium bitterness in the otherwise dark fruity finish. Not very exciting, some harshness in the finish as well lowers the points.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear gold beer. Residual white head. Light dry palate with zero carbonation. Hops deliver a light orange flavour but also a pretty intense hops bitterness. Touch of tangerine and some honey well buried. Dry finish.

Cask @ Muckle Cross JDW, Elgin.
Golden ale with large bubbly head and moderate lacing.
Aroma of light citrus hops and golden malt.
Taste of citrus hops, fruity hops, sweet syrupy malts, a bit buttery.
Palate - medium body, bit oily, soft carb, bitter citric finish, hint of butter.
Overall - Average golden ale, but got a bit cloying.

500 ml bottle @ John Bull pub in Aalborg. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of hops, malt, grain and honey. Flavor is sweetish malty, moderate bitterness and surprisingly alcohol. Medium body. A bit sweet and boring but drinkable.

Cask at the Jerusalem Tavern, London. Pours clear gold with a slight, filmy head. Bready malt aroma with nips of orange citrus. Flavor is sweet, fairly bready with some straw, light honey, a bit of ripe citrus. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish that dries slightly, some honey, white sugar, faint grains. Easy drinking beer.

Originally rated December 2008. Woohoo ! Another St. Peter’s brew at the LCBO. I love their beers, as they always stand out from the ordinary, whatever style they make. Comes in a lime-green transparent flask-looking bottle with a date of production listed as B188. This golden ale pours a hazy golden-orange colour (after shaking the bottom) and looks like it came out of a cask. Not much head, not much carbonation, but decent lace and a nice coating on the brew stays. The aromas are of caramel malts, butter, nuts, mild fruits and floral hop. Nice refreshing mouthfeel, that is light, but not watery, and just right for a session beer. The hop is definitely present in the taste, but not overpowering, but just enough to show the people that their swill is much more than a mass-produced product. Touches of oranges and other light fruits, with some grain malts, very well balanced. Beautiful dry and slightly tarty finish. Quite up there for a golden ale !

500ml bottle. Pours a dark gold with a large frothy head. Aroma is faint, some spicy hop and a little skunk. Taste starts with some grass and a slightly skunky, sweet hop finish.
