750 ml. Aroma has notes of vanilla, cocoa, raisin, bourbon, licorice, dark bread, maple, wood. Pours midnight black with a half finger tan head that falls into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste is lightly bittersweet and faintly tart with chocolaty vanilla barrel aged flavors. There’s a faint sense of microflora, a natural thing considering the brewer, but I wouldn’t have detected it or even tried looking for it had I not read the label. Complex and yummy.

On tap at the brewery. Black with brownish head. Loads of vanilla, chocolate, bourbon. Medium sweetness. Warming. Medium bodied.
