Brewed as blending stock for our annual barrel aged blended stout, this super strength dry stout has been aged in a 200L Clermont Springs bourbon cask for over three years, picking up the delicious flavours of the bourbon whiskey and marrying perfectly with the crystal, Vienna, carafa and chocolate malts, plus a healthy dose of Demerara and Muscavardo sugars in this quad brew super stout.
At 20% ABV, this beer should be drunk like a fortified wine, accompanied with a strong cheese such as Stilton or a fine Cuban cigar.
An extra special limited edition release - Only 380 bottles available.

Bottle, online from the brewery. Pours oily jet black with a little tan head. Nose: raisins, dates, dried fruits, bourbon barrel, chocolate liqueur, spices. Taste: heavy sweet. Rich. Surprisingly smooth & balanced. Boozy, fruity, raisins, chocolate fudge cake, bourbon barrel, liquorice hints. Full body, viscous mouthfeel, light carbonation. Amazingly this is very decent considering the rather daft ABV.
