This Noble Pils, 4.4%, is a showcase of traditional German noble hops, known for their fine and elegant aromas, which we source directly from the Locher farm in Tettnang. We used Mittelfruh and Tettnanger hops in the brew and then dry hopped with Tettnanger and Rottenburger Spat (a recently rediscovered traditional German hop), giving it a grassy, spicy and noble aroma.

33cl bottle, possibly from the Beer Garage but might've been somewhere else. Appearance - golden yellow with a nicely proportioned white head. Nose - corn, biscuit, crisp malts and a light herbaceous or grassy note. Taste - lemon, light floral and again biscuity malts. Palate - light bodied, dry and crisp bitterness. Overall - great example of the pils style.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Premier Hop. Pours clear yellow-gold with a compelling, frothy white topping. Lightly sweet with crispy biscuits, clean grassy bitterness, nips of pale grain, hay. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Quenching finish, more dried biscuits, grass, straw, soft floral notes. All quite concise and tidy. Mighty, mighty drinkable.
