A classic English IPA brewed with heritage Chevallier malt and East Kent Goldings. We re-enacted the voyage to India complete with sea shanties, letting it rest in our Foeder to develop a unique character from the wood, much as it would have in days of old.

440ml can at Heaton Hops, Stockport. Pours hazed dark golden orange with a white head. Aroma: tangerine, orange marmalade, light pine. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, more orange marmalade, quite malty, light caramel, fruity. Medium body with fine carbonation. Loving the heritage malts

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a golden orange with a medium white head and good lacing. Nose has an aroma of tangeines with some cream added. In the mouth there is a brief burst of sweet creamy malts before a hefty bitter orange marmalade flavour cuts in. There are old school hops around too, with hints of the alcoholic strength. Finish is dry with some bitterness. This is a very good beer, but a bit too fruity for my taste.
