Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with great retention and some good lacing. Aroma of bourbon with deep vanilla notes, some roasted malt with big black chocolate notes. Taste is also dominated by deep roasted malt notes with loads of black chocolates notes and some very well-balanced notes of bourbon with sumptuous vanilla notes. Body is quite full with rich creamy body and good carbonation for style with not much alcohol being apparent. Well-balanced imperial stout with superior used of barrel-aging treatment.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of pure molasses, bourbon barrels, vanilla and treacle. Flavour is similar, bringing out notes of molasses, loads of bourbon barrels, vanilla and booze. This is quite boozy, but amazingly complex - full of molasses and bourbon/vanilla. Awesome stuff - the best of this brewery.

No head to speak of; reddish tinted black beer. Sweet, alcoholic, roasted, caramel & toffee, Bourbon. More bitter-roasted than sweet initially, but then the Bourbon-vanilla jumps up, leaving sweet, but also wry-bitter flavours lingering on. Very well-bodied, oily viscous, and a bit undercarbonated. Impressive on first sight, but again one to taste but once.

Hella thanks to kbudd19 for this bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma hits you with roastiness, coffee, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is the same, very nice mix of stouty and bourbon notes, with vanilla and oak tannins ever present. Lightly sweet and medium bitter, almost too bitter. Medium plus body, nice and creamy. This is a great effort, a bit short on complexity, but very nice nonetheless.
