330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, frothy to creamy, rapidly diminishing, tan head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee and Bourbon, hints of mocha, caramel, some Belgian chocolate, a touch of vanilla. Taste is roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty, notes of coffee, mocha, Bourbon, some Belgian chocolate, some caramel sweetness, a touch of vanilla, cinnamon; minimally warming, alcoholic finish, very well hidden alcohol overall. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, slightly scattered, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Not the most complex Impy Stout, but balanced and very harmonious; and a composition solely out of flavours all excellent by themselves - great!
