Cask at the Dolphin, Hastings. Amber with a loose white head; malty aroma; crisp, with a citrus flavour to start, and a rather floral body; then a sharply bitter and short lived finish. A rather average bitter.

Cask @ Camperdown Place, JDW. Clear dark golden colour, off-white head. Nose is light malted, bit of citrus and lemonade. Flavour is soft malty, citrus, bit of biscuit. Easy drinkable but light bodied.

Cask handpull at The Phoenix, Canterbury. Distinctive Nelson yeast on aroma. In the mouth the malts are good, some roast, and then quite parching hop finish. It’s a pleasing beer, lots of flavour and I was quite impressed.
