Mölska Bergslagen är en historisk brygd i modern tappning. Tillverkad både som öl av malt och humle och som mjöd av lokal honung, berikad av älggräs från Bergslagens skogfyllda natur. Resultatet är ett fylligt och smakrikt specialöl. En frisk, len maltbrygd med runda inslag av honung och karamell som ändå har bettet som en alkoholstark barley wine. Avnjut den väl kyld som sällskapsdryck eller till en god måltid. Ingredienser - Honung från Bergslagen, kornmalt (pale ale och ljus karamell), älggräs, humle (Chinook, Galaxy), jäst, vatten. Mölska Bergslagen är i sin helhet relativt likt en Belgisk Tripel, både vad gäller styrka och karaktär, men honung och älggräs gör det betydligt mer unikt. Ett specialöl producerat och tappat av Mjödhamnen i samarbete med Grythyttan Brygghus.

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours clear deep golden with a fizzy offwhite head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet and phenolic with sweet bread, white grapes, pear skins, grass, lemon zest, bandaids and kleenex paper towels. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and phenolic with bread, honey, pear skins, lemon peal, grass and bandaids. Mouthfeel is slightly dry and medium bodied. Flaske 0,5l fra Systembolaget, e-beställning. Kjøpt sammen med Rune og delt med ham under rateseanse i H9 1 Okt 13. Gylden. Pent tett skum som daler sakte. Litt uklar. Grei aroma. Litt frukt. Smaken er søte mandler. Alkoholen skinner gjennom. KI=6.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ pre-TSODRBSG13 ], Ulfborg.Light unclear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, alcohol, light honey and earty honey, light earty, medicine notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, fruity, tart, honey sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20130830]

500ml bottle e-bestälning from Systembolaget, picked up in Kiruna. Shared back home with Finn. Hazy golden body. Lasting white lacing head. Honey sweetness and dusty hops on the nose. Honey and dried fruity flavours with grass and apricot. Lingering ripe fruity tail, noticeable alcohol. Well bodied. Okay slow sipper (Tromsø 01.10.2013).

Sampled @ RB Danish Summer Gathering 2013 day 1, Ulfborg. Bottle. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Hard to describe the aroma. Honey with some herbs or something? Others can do ot better I’m sure. Tastes pretty nice though: suitably alcoholic, a bit sweet, some honey. Somehow it blends together nicely. Like it.
