Mölska Bergslagen är en historisk brygd i modern tappning. Tillverkad både som öl av malt och humle och som mjöd av lokal honung, berikad av älggräs från Bergslagens skogfyllda natur. Resultatet är ett fylligt och smakrikt specialöl. En frisk, len maltbrygd med runda inslag av honung och karamell som ändå har bettet som en alkoholstark barley wine. Avnjut den väl kyld som sällskapsdryck eller till en god måltid. Ingredienser - Honung från Bergslagen, kornmalt (pale ale och ljus karamell), älggräs, humle (Chinook, Galaxy), jäst, vatten. Mölska Bergslagen är i sin helhet relativt likt en Belgisk Tripel, både vad gäller styrka och karaktär, men honung och älggräs gör det betydligt mer unikt. Ett specialöl producerat och tappat av Mjödhamnen i samarbete med Grythyttan Brygghus.

330 ml bottle. Almost clear golden body with an oily texture and a thin white head. Aroma has honey, flowers, citric fruit, soap and herbs. Flavor is a bit weird with honey, flowers and bandage. Medium body and average aftertaste. Not amoung the best mead I have tasted.

Sample at Systembolaget. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of honey, some malt and light spices. Similar taste. Also some "forest". Low bitterness and with some warming alcohol.

Klare sehr dunke goldene Farbe, fast kein Schaum. Geruch süß, reife Früchte, viel Honig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack nach viel Honig, vergoren, Wachs, süß, dezent alkoholisch.

Bottled at Uppsala Beer & Whisky Festival 2015 (February).Clear golden color, off-white head. Honey, spicy, floral, some alcohol taste. Alcohol, honey aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, no bitterness. Honey, floral, perfume scent.

Bottled at Uppsala Ölfestival. Clear golden, small head. Aroma of balsamic honey and taiga forests. Mid dry with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Honey, salt forest plants. Some bitterness in the finish.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 3 Oct 2014) Pale amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with honey, flowers, herbs and a triple style spiciness. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of honey, tropical fruit and spicy hints of yeast. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and spicy braggot. Quite nice.

330ml bottle, Vintage Aug. 2013, purchased at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Bright amber-gold coloured body under a steady, low, pearl white head. Not much for lacing. Honey upfront on the nose, bread beneath, rather dry. Sweet flavours of honey, peels of apples, forest, and a touch of lemon. Mostly hidden alcohol. Natural soft carbonated. Sweet but not overly so. In fact, quite nice (at home, Tromsø 21.11.2014).
