Backlog. From tap at Danske Ølentusiasters Ølfestival 2013 with JMD. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Port, rasins and spices in sweet taste. Slightly bitter aftertaste.

Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2013 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark.Dark black colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, alcohol - whisky. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, alcohol, wood, vanilla. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20130523]

Sample at SBWF 2013. Really black with a tan head. Roasted malt, vanilla, oak, whisky and dark chocolate. The finish was long and with notes of alcohol.

Draft @ DØE Ølfestival 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty weak smoky vanilla aroma. Roasted malty spicy chocolate vanilla woody smoky flavor. Has a roasted malty smoky chocolate and vanilla finish.

DØE. Black with a big dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, heavy vanilla and whisky. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 230513

Fra fad på Tap1 mai-13, dag1: etter 16 ulike rammer denne extremeøl de luxe som en åpenbaring. På 1300-tallet mente man at alkohol var et medisinsk underverk som forlenger livet, bevarer ungdommen og rensker ut dårlig lynne. Etter et par munnfuller av denne tror jeg at så kan være tilfellet. Ingen skarpe kanter, supremely polished.

Draught@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour, no head. Aroma is liquorice, vanilla, wood, syrup and some alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, vanilla and that’s about it. Huge alcohol burn in the finish and "aftertaste" (afterburn would probably be more proper).

Sample @ DØE. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice, vanilla, wood and hops.
